2019 Parade of Homes Design Inspiration

We are excited to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the design inspiration behind an exciting project we've been working on for months! This year, we are proud to be partnering with ALTA Design Build to furnish their house for the 2019 Parade of Homes.

Every Trove find featured in the home from furniture to lighting, rugs, and accessories has been hand-selected by our team to create a “California Casual” style with laid-back West Coast vibes. All of these pieces will be available to purchase after the Parade, so you can shop the look directly from the home!



When ALTA Design Build approached us to design the interior of the home, we knew right away we didn’t want to shy away from color. We love to push design boundaries by playing with color, pattern, and texture but we didn’t want to lose the cool California style of the home. The mustard fabric on the Kane chairs adds a brilliant pop of color to the office space. 



In the master bedroom, comfort and style go hand in hand. We wanted this space to function as a quiet reprieve for rest and relaxation. The overall style of the home is incorporated through classic contrast of black and white, but we calmed it down with soft shades of blue and teal. A luxurious, upholstered bed frame rests against stylish black and white wallpaper from Hygge & West.



To create a laid-back SoCal style, we paired the clean white walls with natural textures like cognac leather and distressed wood. A set of leather counter stools brings warmth into the modern black and white kitchen design by ALTA. We drew inspiration from the natural woven texture on the chairs in the dining space designed by Amber Interiors.


Typically the focal point of the bedroom is the bed, but we can't take our eyes off this adorable highland cow print. This print is organically contrasted with rich leathers and the unique Amelia bed. The shadowbox Ansel end tables are the perfect place to store any child's treasures. Our goal was to create a space that kids and adults would want to spend time in!
