Trove On The Go: A Secluded Retreat in the Heart of Ohio

This cozy home is quietly tucked away behind tall trees in the midst of Ohio's bustling capital. Their Trove On The Go Designer helped the homeowners bring a cozy log cabin feel to the heart of the city.

Their home is an eclectic blend of earthy tones and textures, from the one-of-a-kind copper artwork hanging above the fireplace to the hand-knotted jute rug draped across the light wood floors. You will discover beautiful finds around every corner. 

After a violent thunderstorm brought a huge tree crashing through the side of their living room, this family found it was the perfect time to dive into renovations. They reached out to Trove On the Go and their designer was excited to get this project underway. Their designer was there every step of the way, helping them hand-pick stones for their fireplace and always remembering to bring treats for Ringo, Honey, Calvin, and Chelsea - the homeowner's beloved four-legged friends. 

A contemporary floor plan combines the kitchen, dining, and living room into one open space. The sloped wood ceiling and skylights illuminate the room in a soft, natural light making you feel like you’re in a luxurious, remote treehouse.

Four upholstered dining chairs are gathered around the Leona table. The silver nailheads and hand-distressed wood frames of the Adderley chairs effortlessly match the mood of the dining table, with a reflective zinc top and delicate white detailing to accent the distressed wood base. In the kitchen, the Shields counter stools add a bit of fun flair. Industrial meets vintage-style with these hair on hide stools.

The pillow-backed Oscar sectional was custom-ordered in a velvety soft, stone grey fabric that pairs beautifully with the Fischer coffee table resting between the ends. A square reclaimed pine base supports a smooth bluestone slab with chiseled edges. A set of eye-catching accent pillows highlight the blue and red tones in the rug, pulling the whole living space together.

A secluded home office with plenty of natural light and warmth is the perfect place to focus your mind. The sleek, iron legs of the Samson desk create a light, airy vibe while a gorgeous blue and cream rug adds an intimate, homey feel. A fluffy dog bed can be spotted in the corner, as no room in this family's home would be complete without a space for their doting dogs to join them.

The Wolford chaise lounge rests in a cozy nook underneath the stairs, creating an intimate space to unwind after a long day. Ringo is right at home relaxing on a lush down cushion wrapped in soft linen. We love that the homeowners do not shy away from color, incorporating vibrant shades of teal and green throughout this space.
