Trove On The Go: A Renovated 1920s Home Becomes a Serene Escape

This 1920s home in Upper Arlington needed a lot of love when the new homeowners moved in. Before connecting with one of our Trove On The Go designers the owners had already remodeled, thoughtfully selecting calming paint colors and beautiful finishes to fill the home. With the help of their talented designer, they layered in artwork and complementary Trove pieces to add the finishing touches to their home.




Every mother deserves a private space where she can go to release the worries from her heart and mind. For this family, that space is a peaceful lounge area tucked into a corner of the home. This quiet oasis was built around a soft white sofa, which left plenty of room for the designer to play with color and texture. The Nash swivel is wrapped in a velvety powder blue fabric and the oversized "Wales Grey" print invites calming colors into the space.



Soothing shades of gray and smooth marble tile create a relaxing retreat in the master suite. A classic wingback chair leads you through the bedroom into the master bath. All of the artwork was carefully selected to match the calming atmosphere of the home, but the "Silver Pools" print was specially chosen because it sparked a memory of a pond from the homeowner's youth. 



An abstract print hangs above the dining table, tying in a timeless piece of art that makes a statement without drawing too much attention away from the function of the space. As you enter the main living area, a luxurious wool rug cushions each step. We can imagine many crisp winter nights spent in this room, kicking our feet up on the Wembley coffee table and enjoying a warm cup of cocoa by the fire. 

No matter how you like to unwind after a long day, whether you set aside a few minutes to practice yoga, curl up with a good book, or pour yourself a glass of wine, we can't imagine a more beautiful setting for rest and relaxation.
