Trove Table Talk: 2020 Design Trends
The start of a new year is the perfect time to give your home a fresh start. As we transition into a new decade, what interior design trends can we expect to see? Our fabric guru, Liz, shared her inspirations and predictions for trends we can expect to see in the year ahead.
New Traditionals
Traditional is coming back. Sustainable design is on the rise with high quality classic designs that are made to last. Expect to see elegant, symmetrical designs with classic neutrals and natural materials like linen, velvet, and organic cotton. Mix camel tones to update grey. Invest in timeless pieces that don’t go out of style and update your look with accessories as trends come and go.
Soft Organic Curves
Earthy goes modern with clean, curved lines. Bring in millennial colors like dusty pink and burnt orange. Imagine soft curves on sofas and sectionals and embrace small organic details on statement pieces.
Italian Renaissance
Bring a splash of Italian color to your living spaces. Layer in color with bright red, sky blue, mustard, teal, and sienna. Bold patterns are making a comeback, so don’t be afraid to lean into the modern Euro-style and ‘80s influence. With hundreds of fabrics to choose from at Trove, this is where you have room to make our favorite frames your own.
Cane Furniture
A familiar element breathes new life to classic furniture. Incorporate natural texture into your living and dining spaces. We just brought the Anders cabinet into Trove Upper Arlington and love the contrast between the sleek, black acacia frame and natural cane weaving.
If you want to give your home a fresh look, stop into Trove and we can help you bring your vision to life! Whether you're starting fresh this year or trying to tie trendy styles in with some of your classic pieces, we are here to help.
